Loan Servicing Specialist

Position Summary : 

TaliMar Financial is a reputable direct lender based in San Diego, committed to providing real estate investors unparalleled financial solutions throughout California. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Loan Servicing Specialist.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a background as a mortgage loan servicer, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Position Overview:

The main responsibility of the Loan Servicing Specialist is to maintain a healthy loan portfolio through delivering excellent post-close customer service for both borrowers and investors.

  • Track property insurance. Follow up on upcoming insurance expirations and obtain updated policy information.
  • Track loan maturities. Follow up on upcoming loan maturities and ensure all approved modifications and extensions executed and processed in a timely manner.
  • Payment collection. Follow up on late payments to ensure the loan portfolio maintains a current payment status.
  • Review and enter loan draw requests to the internal operating system.
  • Manage a loan payoff pipeline by tracking requests and facilitating the preparation of payoff statements in a timely manner.
  • Effectively handle borrower escalations and communicate proactively with borrowers to get ahead of issues and protect our track record.
  • Provide each borrower with a welcome call upon their loan closing to introduce them to loan servicing.
  • Board loans for servicing with our third party loan servicing agent upon loan closing.

Job Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (must be comfortable with Excel)
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar customer service position
  • Experience with short-term bridge loans or construction loans is a plus
  • Experience with real estate renovations and project management is a plus
  • General understanding of basic real estate investment concepts (or demonstrated desire to learn)
  • Comfortable performing basic math calculations (including but not limited to interest accruals, payment applications, payoff figures)

  • Able to consistently perform under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • 3-5 years of experience in a mortgage loan servicing / asset management position

Education and/or Experience: Degree in business, accounting and/or finance or a related field preferred. Must have a minimum of 2 year’s experience in loan servicing at a bank, mortgage company, or loan servicing company. This is an ideal position for a person who enjoys a high growth, quick paced environment and is comfortable using software to manage their workflow.

Investor Relations Associate

Position Summary : 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and communicative Investor Operations Associate to join our team. As an Investor Operations Associate, you will be responsible for driving a comprehensive and proactive investor relations strategy. This includes cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals, effectively communicating corporate strategies and investment opportunities, and supporting compliance and execution of fundraising activities.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on building meaningful connections, is highly motivated, and possesses a proactive attitude. You’ll need to translate complex investment details into clear, engaging communications that align with the company’s institutional values and culture. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the acquisitions and asset management teams to fully understand the intricacies of real estate transactions, capital structures, and ongoing investment performance. Additionally, you’ll be tasked with organizing and optimizing the investor database, ensuring streamlined communication and customized touchpoints for thousands of contacts.

Position Overview:

Investor Onboarding: Collaborate with investors to facilitate the seamless onboarding of new accounts. Guide investors through the account setup process, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.

Account Management: Address investor inquiries promptly and professionally, both over the phone and in person. Assist investors with updates and changes to their accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

Reporting Support: Contribute to end-of-month and end-of-year reporting processes. Gather and organize data to generate comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all reporting activities.

Third-Party Collaboration: Coordinate with third-party administrators to ensure the proper onboarding of accounts and accurate data entry. Monitor data integrity and collaborate to rectify any discrepancies or issues that arise.

Communication Excellence: Communicate effectively with investors, both verbally and in writing. Address inquiries, concerns, and requests with professionalism and clarity. Build and maintain positive relationships with investors to enhance overall satisfaction.

Detail-Oriented Approach: Display meticulous attention to detail when handling investor accounts and documents. Perform thorough reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance at all stages of account management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage and enhance the investor CRM database, ensuring accurate organization and effective communication workflows.
  • Create compelling presentation materials for internal and external audiences to support fundraising efforts.
  • Develop and execute strategic investor outreach campaigns, including timely follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify, establish, and nurture relationships with new HNW individuals,
  • Assist senior leadership in maintaining and expanding relationships with existing and potential investors.
  • Work closely with asset management, finance, and accounting teams to prepare and distribute monthly reports for investors.
